Delivery and Returns

Timing

If you need something in a hurry, please contact me before you order. I will be honest with you whether I can turn it round in time

As a one-woman show, I melt the glass, assemble the pieces, package them and take them to the post office myself.

My delivery time for standard pieces (not commissions) is: 7-10 days on receiving payment.

Where do I deliver

I currently only post within the UK. This is because there are complicated VAT rules for different countries within Europe and variable import charges for the rest of the world.

Delivery Charges

I use Royal Mail for my postage. Shipping rates are current but will be subject to change.

If your order totals £50 or above, I use Royal Mail Special Delivery. I do not charge you for this. Special Delivery is a signed for service and guarantees delivery by 1pm  the next working day. Items posted on Friday will reach you on Monday.

If your order is under £50, I use Royal Mail Tracked 48 (no signature, but tracking so you know when to expect it). This service aims to deliver within 2-3 days. The charge for this is £3.39

Please remember that these are postage times only and the total delivery time is 7-10 days.

At busy times eg the run up to Christmas, parcels can get delayed. If you are in a hurry and need something by a certain date, please contact me first.

Payment
Online orders for standard pieces in my shop are card payment processed by Stripe, a widely used, reliable and secure online payment system.

Returns

Please contact me if you are intending to return something you have ordered online.

If your order has arrived damaged or faulty let me know within 14 days and I will arrange a refund / exchange. I will also refund your postage.
It is helpful to receive photographs of the problem especially if packaging has been damaged in transit.

If you change your mind about a purchase, you can return it to me up to 14 days after you received it for a refund or exchange. You should return it in its original packaging, in the condition it was received and by a tracked form of postage. The cost of this postage is your responsibility.

I suggest you return any parcels to me in their original packaging, well taped up by Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. My address is always shown on the original label,

I will process your refund or exchange within 7-10 days of receiving your returned order.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

I am not able to refund or exchange earrings for hygiene reasons, unless there is a fault.
If you have damaged the item yourself, please get in touch. I am not able to refund or exchange it, but I may be able to repair it for an agreed fee.

Commissions

If you have commissioned me to make a bespoke piece just for you, these cannot be refunded. There will have been a process of discussion between us and agreement of timescale and price. Reasonable adjustments to the design are factored in as part of that. Should you decide on a complete change of design however, this will incur further costs. 

If the piece is found to be faulty on receipt, repairs will be made in accordance with the policy set out above.

Packaging

I use carboard, tissue and shredded paper as a rule, with the occasional use of recycled bubble wrap. My postage boxes are of a standard size so you may find a well padded smaller box inside it. It is not economical for me to order lots of different sized post boxes. For larger orders I will pack in a recycled outer cardboard box.

All of my tiny glass stuff is packed to be given as a gift with a small card. Jewellery is usually sent in an attractive silky pouch, free standing pieces and hanging decoration in a miniature cardboard box.

Guarantee
Every effort has been made to describe and represent the goods accurately but it is important to remember that every piece of my tiny glass stuff is made individually by hand and that no two items will be identical. There may therefore be some small differences from the pictures representing the products online and the goods despatched. Measurements and sizes are approximate and given as a guide to the customer. I want you to be happy with what your buy and confident you may return any item if you are not satisfied.
